The Murray, Hong Kong, opening in late 2017, is located along the legendary Cotton Tree Drive, in Central, Hong Kong. Designed by British international studio for architecture, urbanism and integrated design Foster + Partners, the US$1 billion high-profile preservation project is part of city’s Conserving Central Project. Originally designed by British modernist Ronald Phillips, the stand-alone Murray Building was built in 1969 as one of the city's most iconic landmarks.
A member of Global Hotel Alliance’s Ultratravel Collection, the contemporary urban chic Hotel will feature 336 oversized rooms and suites spanning 25 storeys. Gracing the rooftop will be a stunning restaurant and bar with breath-taking views of the central business district and the green oases of Hong Kong Park and the Botanical Gardens. Other dining options comprise a tea lounge, international restaurant, lobby bar and a Cantonese Restaurant.
Highlights of The Murray’s creative meeting and event spaces include The Arches, a 400 square metre venue surrounding the Hotel’s Garden Level perfect for fashion runways and car exhibitions; the Niccolo Room for up to 350 guests will boast a LED ceiling and walls; and six boardrooms with natural daylight and views of St. John’s Cathedral and the nearby gardens.
