2010 UFI Congress and IFAI Expo Asia 2011 part of 150,000-delegate haul
SINGAPORE Marina Bay Sands Singapore has announced a raft of event wins that will bring 150,000 attendees to the resort when it opens.These include the 2010 UFI Congress, which is returning to Singapore after a 16-year absence from the city. UFI managing director, Vincent Gérard, said: “We are excited to be returning to the city and are pleased to hold our congress in such an impressive venue.” The Cruise Shipping Asia show will debut at Marina Bay Sands in November 2011 and will include a conference running alongside the trade show. Other firsts include the Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI) Expo Asia 2011 trade show. This is the first time the event will be held in the city, and is expected to attract 2,000 attendees. IFAI vice-president – conference management, Todd Lindemann, said: “Marina Bay Sands will be an exciting location for our event. “The design of the facility is absolutely breathtaking and the broad array of entertainment found on the premises is sure to attract even more attendees.” ![]()
