BANGKOK – Grey Group and leading local university, Thammasat University, have started a brand strategy course as part of a Masters in Marketing programme offered by the tertiary institution in Thailand.
Based on Grey Group’s ‘Brand Acceleration’ tool, the course will allow students the chance to translate academic knowledge into practical know-how by coming up with a brand strategy for Siam Park City, a present client of the WPP firm. The course will be offered to senior executives from various backgrounds such as engineering, marketing, PR and communications. Charu Harish, Grey Group Asia-Pacific’s regional communications planning director explains that the course is a “continuous effort to inspire the new generation of marketers with real-time knowledge of developing brand strategies and guiding them on how they can bridge the gap between classroom learning and real life situations.” “The students were working on a real brand, Siam Park City. And, the clients were involved in this project right from the start. It was not just about coming up with a strategy, but convincing the client that the strategy could work for their brand in real life.” ![]()
