The best of Kuala Lumpur's hotels for event planners

BEST FOR… F&B SELECTION
Westin offers an unusual mix of venues for Kuala Lumpur including a Latin Grill and takeaway deli. Eest has five kitchens serving Japanese, Thai, Malay, Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine in a stylish setting. Treats offers a range of baked goods and snacks, while Qba is a popular place to unwind at the end of the day. Prego serves modern Italian and Living Room is a relaxed all-day venue serving international cuisine in an atmosphere ideal for networking.

BEST FOR… BREAKOUT MEETINGS
JW Marriott offers 20 meeting rooms over two floors. Its Mayangsari Ballroom can seat 1,000 delegates in theatre style for plenary sessions. The nine Starhill rooms open into different configurations and are directly connected to Starhill Gallery, a high-end retail space that includes Feast Village, a floor of 12 restaurants featuring a variety of cuisines in a modern setting. The hotel is also connected to the Carlton Conference Centre, a 25-meeting room facility shared by Ritz-Carlton.

BEST FOR… SPA INCENTIVES
Ritz Carlton’s Spa Village can accommodate up to 80 delegates per day. It features 10 large treatment rooms (including eight doubles) all with outdoor areas featuring sunken bathtubs, a shower and a private garden. The treatments reflect the diversity of Malaysia’s cultural heritage, including elements of Chinese Peranakan, Malay, Thai and Balinese traditions. The sensory room is a calm space to unwind between treatments.

Mandarin Oriental expanded its spa facilities late last year and now offers 10 treatment rooms, steam rooms, dry saunas, hot and cold Jacuzzis and a relaxation lounge. It also serves a spa menu at its adjacent poolside restaurant. Many of the spa’s treatments move beyond the standard range and are personalised for each guest.
