Korea hosts MICE Expo at Songdo

New-look trade show attracts 3,000 visitors

SEOUL The Korea MICE Expo was held at the new Songdo Convensia, near Incheon Airport, from November 10 to 11.

Formerly known as the Korea Convention Fair, the event attracted 200 overseas and domestic buyers, and more than 3,000 participants.

There were more than 200 exhibitors, including local convention bureaux, international tourism boards and government bodies from South Korea.

One of the show highlights was the MICE Knowledge Forum, ‘Driving Forces in Achieving Korea’s Competitiveness as MICE Destination’.

Next year’s event will move to Coex in Seoul, where it will be held until 2012.
