2010 RISE Awards now open

Meeting Planners International (MPI) is calling for nominations from meeting and event planners for its annual Recognizing Industry Success and Excellence (RISE) Awards.

Nominations can be registered online by both members and non-members of MPI until December 15. Nominees should be individuals and communities that have made a significant contribution to the meetings and events industry through influence, innovation, and global reach.

Individual awards include the Young Professional Achievement, Meeting Industry Leadership, and Member of the Year (MPI members only). MPI chapters and communities can be nominated for awards in Community Achievement in Knowledge and Ideas, Community Achievement in Marketplace Excellence, and Community-Emerging Excellence.

The awards will be presented at the World Education Congress 2010 in Vancouver, Canada.
