Hotel and industry appointments from around the region

Dirk de Cuyper has been appointed general manager of Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund. De Cuyper has also worked in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and China. 

Torsten Pinter has been appointed general manager of Swissotel Nai Lert Park, Bangkok. Pinter has worked with the group since 2001, most recently at Swissotel Foshan, where he will be replaced by Jackson Wong.

Ian Eker has been appointed general manager of Parkroyal on Kitchener, Singapore. Eker has worked for Sunway and Ritz-Carlton in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Egypt.

James Wilson has been appointed general manager of Dusit Thani Dubai. Wilson has more than 20 years’ experience in hospitality, including nine with Dusit International.

Thomas Arasi has been appointed president and chief executive officer of Marina Bay Sands. Ronen Nissenbaum has been appointed executive vicepresident for operations.

Bradford Rice has been appointed general manager of InterContinental Beijing Financial Street. Rice was previously the hotel’s resident manager after starting with the group at InterContinental Hong Kong.

Greg Liddell has been appointed general manager of Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi Chiang Mai. Liddell has worked in the industry for more than 14 years.

Sasikornpong Muadtaisong has been appointed director of sales and marketing at Movenpick Hotel Saigon.
