Bintan adds new ferries

BINTAN Two new ferries added to Bintan Resorts’ fleet have reduced the travelling time between Singapore and Bintan to just 45 minutes – previously the journey took one hour.

Each ferry has 300 seats, 17 of which are Emerald Class on the exclusive upper deck. Emerald Class passengers do not need to queue for immigration clearance upon arrival in Bintan.

Chin Chow Yoon, chairman, Bintan Resort Ferries and executive Chairman, Bintan Resorts International, said: “With these new ferries, visitors can travel in comfort and enjoy a smooth, hassle-free immigration clearance in Bintan.”

Bintan Resorts attracted 400,000 visitors in 2008.
