More then 3,500 Perfect China delegates converged in Malaysia earlier this month for its 2017 Achievement Seminar (June 3-11), marking the company’s fifth visit to the country.
Expected to generate approximately RM39.8 million (USD9.3 million), the 2017 seminar follows the Perfect China Leadership Seminar 2016, which marked the return of the lucrative Chinese incentive market following the 2014 Malaysia Airlines disasters.
Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) CEO Datuk Zulkefli Sharif, says the bureau will continue to target the China market, which currently represents 25 per cent of Malaysia’s total incentive market.
“Malaysia has, for a long time, welcomed and hosted for corporate meetings and incentives from China,” Zulkefli says.
“To date, we have generated RM1.29 billion in economic impact and about 93,540 delegates from China and the support received is proof that Malaysia is a destination of choice for corporate meeting and incentives from China.”
Since 2011, Perfect China delegations have visited Kuala Lumpur and states throughout Malaysia to seek out international business opportunities, visit places of interest, sample local cuisine, and collect traditional souvenirs.
During the 2017 Achievement Seminar delegates were treated to a cultural tour in Bentong, Pahang – including tasting local delicacies such as durian (the king of fruits) and a gala dinner at Menara Yayasan, in Sabah.
