Melbourne Convention Bureau has announced a new pre-trade tour programme for international and local hosted buyers attending the Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo (AIME) this year in February. 

Taking place from 19 to 20 February 2017, the pre-show Uncover Melbourne programme features five distinct experiences set to showcase Melbourne's business events capability and competitive strengths as an innovation and knowledge hub. 

The programme will include new city touring experiences, networking events, and a series of education sessions discussing future trends, technology and people.

Highlights include Uncover Melbourne: The Magic of Flemington, a welcome function for buyers presented in partnership with Business Events Australia; Uncover Melbourne: The Charm of the Yarra, a riverside breakfast event with a difference; and the AIME 25th Anniversary Welcome Event.

This year the highly aniticipated AIME Welcome Event will commemorate the event's milestone 25th year with a focus on the city's creative culture and thriving creative industries. Set to feature pop-up entertainment such as traditional and contemporary dance, theatre, and visual arts, the event will take place at a soon-to-be announced venue. 

AIME 2017 will take place on 21-22 February at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre
