Dorian Rommel has been appointed as the general manager of Capella Shanghai, Jian Ye Li, scheduled to open in March 2017.
Located within the cultural preservation zone of Shanghai’s Xuhui District, Capella Shanghai occupies the last remaining “shikumen” heritage estate, which dates back to the 1930s.
In his new role as the pre-opening champion, Rommel will provide strategic guidance for the 55 heritage villas, 40 serviced residences, a French brasserie, and a collection of restaurants and retail brands known as The Gallery.

The ultra-luxury Capella brand has properties in Dusseldorf, Singapore, Ixtapa, and Saint Lucia, with additional hotels planned for Orlando, Bangkok, Todos Santos, Shanghai and Bali.
