MGTO continues financial assistance until end-March

MACAU The Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO) has extended its subsidy scheme for business events until March 31, 2010.

The scheme was introduced in last May to provide financial and logistical support for upcoming MICE events.

Event organisers can receive support for any business event confirmed by the end of March. There is no date limit on when the event must take place.

Since its introduction, the scheme has supported 31 meetings and conventions, 19 exhibitions and 26 incentive programmes with US$2.4 million in funding.

MGTO has also received 22 applications for events to be held between 2010 and 2012.
