Facility improves sea access to China and Macau

HONG KONG A new cross-border ferry terminal has opened at Hong Kong International Airport. SkyPier comprises eight berths capable of handling eight million passengers annually.

The terminal is a four-minute walk from the main airport and will serve as a gateway for passengers travelling to and from southern China. It features immigration and security channels, and 20 airline check-in desks.

High-speed ferries will travel between Hong Kong and eight port cities including  Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Dongguan and Zhuhai. CotaiJet will operate the service to and from Macau.

Skypier replaces the temporary facility in use since 2003.
