Weather
Fiji enjoys an idyllic, tropical South Sea Island climate. It is hot in the summer but rarely exceeds 35°C. Trade winds from the east and southeast bring cooling breezes in the late afternoon and early evening all year round. Tropical downpours are heaviest from December to March, which is also the warmest time of year.

About Fiji
Fiji, with its 320 islands, lies at the heart of the South Pacific. More than 85 flights a week connect the main island of Viti Levu with the rest of the world. From there, it is only a seven-minute hop to one of the offshore islands or less than an hour’s flight to Vanua Levu or Taveuni, the second and third-largest islands.

Although several major hotels offer convention facilities, Fiji lacks
a purpose-built convention and exhibition centre. The beaches are
stunning, the lifestyle laid-back, and the country is particularly
popular for teambuilding activities, such as Survivor-style
programmes. Here it is possible for a group to take over their very
own tropical island for the day.

Public holidays include Fiji Day in early October, Diwali, Prophet
Mohammed’s Birthday, National Youth Day, and Ratu Sir Lala Sukuna Day in late May.
