About Beijing
Beijing is the capital city of China. Its history dates back to more than 3,000 years ago. The city reflects the splendid culture of Chinese history. The Great Wall, the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace, the Ming Tomb, Lama Temple, Peking Opera and even the tiny Hutongs can offer a step back in time to the Beijing of a hundred or more years ago.

Beijing shows, better than anywhere, the rapid development of Chinese society. The depth and breadth of Chinese civilization is laid before you every day in Beijing’s neon lights, giant malls and contemporary architecture.

The city is well connected by rail. The two most important railway stations of Beijing are the Beijing Railway Station and Beijing West Railway Station. The Beijing Capital International Airport is located 20 km northeast of the city. There are five other domestic airports in the city. The city is connected to all the major cities of the world through airways. To roam around the city, there are underground rail services, buses, taxis and bicycles.
