Value-added packages and new offerings
UPSCALE OFFERINGSWynn Macau is offering full-day meeting packages from US$96 per person based on a minimum of 30 people. The offer includes use of meeting rooms, standard audiovisual equipment plus meeting set-up, morning and afternoon coffee breaks, and lunch. Half-day meeting packages are available from US$77 per person. The upscale resort’s meeting facilities cover more than 2,000 sqm, including the Lake Suites – two-bedroom suites permanently set up for executive meetings. The 280 sqm Lake Suites feature high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, private dining and breakout areas, and are serviced by dedicated butler and convention services personnel. ADDED VALUE Venetian Macau is offering half-day meeting packages for US$57 per person for up to six hours. Catering includes welcome coffee and tea, a coffee break with three refreshment choices and a buffet lunch with floral centrepieces. Audiovisual equipment includes LCD projector and screen, podium and microphone and a flip chart or whiteboard. Extend to a full-day meeting package at US$74 and add an additional six hours of meeting room use and coffee break. As an additional bonus, every suite and F&B booking of US$13,000 or more made by the end of 2009 will be rewarded with Venetian gift certificates worth US$320. Special suite rates are US$142 per person and the usual double occupancy surcharge is waived. Sofitel Macau at Pointe 16 has launched a new package as part of the brand's recent InspiredMeetings initiative, which begins with a pre-event consultation with a coordinator and meetings concierge. Half-day packages are US$52 per person including an InspiredMeetings coffee break and lunch, and full-day packages are US$65 inclusive of an additional coffee break. Amenities include a choice of new meeting menus, fresh fruit during breaks, French macaroons as table snacks, a conference kit for organisers as well as a whiteboard and flip chart with markers. Live cooking and carving stations, and a new range of activities, can be included for a minimal supplement. All packages are available for groups with a minimum of 10 people. MGM Grand Macau is offering a half-day meeting package for US$71 per person, including five hours’ meeting room use for morning sessions. The coffee break includes three snack choices and an executive lunch. Meeting equipment includes a podium with microphone, built-in LCD projector with screen, whiteboard, flip chart and markers, and stationery. The full-day meeting package is US$84 and includes an additional coffee break and eight hours meeting room use. The hotel allows business events groups to take a group photo in the hotel’s iconic Grande Praça atrium. OPENING DEAL The newly opened L’Arc New World Hotel is offering meeting planners 30 per cent off its standard meeting package until the end of October. The hotel is located in Central Macau, five minutes from the ferry terminal. Its elegant ballroom can seat 400 delegates theatre style, or be divided into two smaller rooms. ![]()
