Bureau to host annual Asian sales event in Beijing

BEIJING Tourism Australia’s invitation-only annual Asian sales event will be held in Beijing next month, bringing together leading Australian convention bureaux and Asian buyers.

The Team Australia Business Events Educational (TABEE) will be hosted at Westin Beijing Chaoyang from March 15 to 17 and will be themed ‘TABEE 2010 – Take Your Thinking to a Whole New Place’.

Tourism Australia general manager North Asia, Johnny Nee, said: “TABEE 2010 is aimed at top-level buyers who are looking to bring their incentive and conference business to Australia in the near future. It will be a great opportunity for Asian buyers to learn more about Australia’s leading business events products and build relationships with Australian suppliers.”

The nine convention bureaux attending TABEE 2010 include Business Events Sydney and Melbourne Convention and Visitors’ Bureau, as well as a wide range of Australian incentive and conference products.

Nee added: “The intimate nature of TABEE means that buyers will get a hassle-free experience with their list of prescheduled appointments.

Importantly, they will also experience a good time as they learn more about Australia and what it has to offer their businesses and clients in terms of hosting world-class business events.”
