Inaugural awards recognise outstanding performers

The inaugural Singapore Experience Awards were presented on November 9, recognising individuals and organisations from sectors encompassing Business Travel and MICE, hospitality, retail, dining, entertainment, attractions, education and healthcare.

The winners are judged to have shown they are the best in delivering a holistic visitor experience – one that packages product and service delivery to create a distinctive and compelling experience.

Aw Kah Peng, chief executive of the Singapore Tourism Board, which organized the Awards, says: “In an industry that demands excellence from businesses and service providers, our award recipients have not only risen to the challenge but also upped the ante with their customer-centric approach and continued commitment to enhancing their product and service quality. This is why they are being rewarded for being the top of their league, be they established industry players or new entrants.”

CEI Asia is proud to be the media partner for the Singapore Experience Awards and warmly congratulates all of the prize winners.

Trade Conference of the Year
Singapore Maritime Week 2008 Conferences, Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore
Lam Yi Young (right), chief executive, Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore: “The wide range of activities and events held during SMW reflects the vibrancy and diversity of maritime Singapore. We encouraged our partners — the Singapore Maritime Foundation, Singapore Shipping Association, Association of Singapore Marine Industries, seafarers’ unions and other industry organisations – to line up eminent speakers to share insights and participate in dialogues on topical maritime issues. This ensured that conferences were relevant and timely for the maritime community.

“Visitors could benefit from the events, activities and networking opportunities. This is one reason more international maritime companies and organisations are opting to hold their board meetings in Singapore during SMW. The event has grown in size and significance since it first started in 2006, attracting more participants and events from around the world each year. With each edition of SMW, we have also added new events to inject freshness to the line-up of activities.”
