MCI Group
For the third year in a row, readers have voted MCI Group Best Event Company. MCI has been busy across Asia in 2011, growing both its association conferences and corporate events business, as well as expanding Ovation – its DMC arm – in several markets.
This year, the company will continue to grow its existing offices to increase critical mass and will open offices in Malaysia and Thailand. Robin Lokerman, president, Asia Pacific & Americas, says: “It was only in January 2005 that MCI opened its first office outside Europe, in Singapore.
“We have now grown to the largest conference and event management company in Asia, with 15 offices and over 300 professional staff. We still see significant growth for MCI in Asia and expect to double our business within the next four years.”
He says the company will continue to grow Ovation, especially in markets like Australia that is an appealing choice for incentives.

Regional managing director Manuel Ferrer, says: “This dedicated brand for the global meetings industry brings together all of our current businesses in this sector. We are changing the look and feel of the Pacific World brand to reflect these values, as well as to underpin the regional expansion and the investment into the event management and PCO business.”
