Singapore-based hotel group Banyan Tree opened an urban resort as part of the new hotel and entertainment complex Galaxy Macau, offering a different hotel experience for visitors to the Cotai Strip.
Event facilities
The 1,330 sqm Banyan Ballroom has a striking gold and scarlet decor and can fit 1,200 people theatre style or 516 people for a banquet. In addition, there is the 660 sqm Banyan Room that can be divided into four smaller room and the Banyan Boardroom, which has a lounge area and is suitable for small meetings of up to 12 people. The property also has the renowned Banyan Tree Spa, which has 21 treatment rooms and can cater for business event groups.
Accommodation
The property has 227 suites, which includes the presidential suite and 29 villas – of which 10 are stand-alone and have their own garden and swimming pool. Entry-level rooms are the 100 sqm Grand Cotai Suite and there is the 160 sqm Sky Villa that has its own living area and kitchen. Every room has a Relaxation Pool.
F&B options
The hotel has the Banyan Tree’s two signature restaurants - Saffron and Belon. Saffron serves Thai cuisine done up with innovative touches and has favourites such as Tom Yum Goong and spicy banana blossom salad in its menu. Belon is a classic European-style grill and seafood restaurant, and has an extensive wine cellar with bottles from France, Portugal, Italy, South Africa and more.
