TAIPEI Ovation DMC has continued its global expansion with the announcement of 11 new strategic partners, including three in Asia.
In Taiwan Ovation has partnered with local DMC, GIS Group. Jason Yeh, CEO of GIS Group, said: “It is good for us to join an international network such as Ovation, as it is not only benefits our company, but will also help promote Taiwan as a destination.
“We have been operating as a DMC for three years, but there are many PCOs and travel agents who have been acting in this role [in the absence of DMCs]. The DMC business is quite new to Taiwan so it is a big chance for a local company like ours to affiliate with a global partner to provide DMC services of a global standard.”
Strategic partners were also announced for Thailand and Indonesia. Ovation is the DMC arm of global events agency MCI Group, and operates in 92 locations worldwide, including 20 wholly owned offices.
