TOKYO The International Union of Architects (UIA) has confirmed it will host the 24th World Congress of Architecture (UIA2011 Tokyo) at Tokyo International Forum from September 25 to October 1.
Organisers met at the 4th Coordinating Council of UIA2011 Tokyo last month to assess the feasibility of the event given the recent earthquakes. The congress includes daily tours of Tokyo’s architecture, as well as several overnight post-event tours to regional cities including Hiroshima, Kyoto, Matsumoto, Okinawa and Sendai.
The welcome reception will be held at the National Olympic Gymnasium on September 25.
