The basics
Shangri-La’s new flagship property for its Kerry brand is a MICE-driven hotel directly connected to the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). Kerry Hotel Pudong offers 7,300 sqm of meeting and event space, including Shanghai’s largest ballroom. Five minutes away is the Maglev station that connects to Pudong International Airport in just seven minutes’ travel time.
Event facilities
In addition to the 2,230 sqm ballroom, there are 26 function rooms on the same floor. The supporting rooms seat 20 to 1,310 delegates theatre style and most offer natural daylight. The Rooftop Garden on level five is popular for networking events, as is the balcony on level three. The F&B outlets also have outdoor terraces that can be booked for events.
What’s special?
F&B at the hotel is an interactive experience. International a la carte restaurant, The Cook, has 11 live theatre kitchens, while The Brew is an Australian-designed craft brewery complete with a resident brew master. It offers tours, beer tastings and can also do custom beer packaging with corporate logos. Within the complex is Kerry Sports, a 6,000 sqm sports club.
In addition, Shanghai’s largest public garden, Century Park, is opposite the hotel and offers 140 hectares for customised coffee breaks, fitness boot camps, fun runs, bike and boat races, and even mini-Olympic competitions. Outdoor catering and incentive events can also be held here.
