SINGAPORE Singex Venues, manager of Singapore Expo, has been certified business continuity management (BCM)-ready, the only purpose-built convention and exhibition centre in Asia to achieve this mark to-date.
After four months preparation, Expo secured dual certifications: Singapore Standard (SS) 540:2008 and British Standard (BS) 25999.
Singex CEO Aloysius Arlando, said: “The dual certification demonstrates to our stakeholders that our business is run effectively and will continue to do so in the event of a disruption.”
BCM focuses on organisational pre-incident analysis and prevention, and response planning to both expected and unexpected disruptions.
