BANGKOK The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) has expanded its Believe in Thailand campaign and has extended the offers until end-2011.

TCEB president Akapol Sorasuchart, said: “The Believe in Thailand campaign, launched earlier this year and running through 2011 forms part of our efforts to gain global recognition for Thailand’s MICE industry and regain any confidence that might have been lost this year.”

The packages include the existing support for teambuilding activities, golf and spa incentives and cultural performances as well as two new packages.

The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Green Meetings packages offer financial support of up to US$650 for groups of 50 or more participants staying in Thailand for at least three nights.

“The packages are designed to offer alternatives and highlight Thailand’s readiness as an ideal destination for MICE events, said Sorasuchart. “State agencies also fully support these efforts not only just to boost numbers of MICE visitors, but also to enhance Thailand's image as we strive to create awareness and action on environmental sustainability within the MICE industry.”
