Banyan Tree Club and Spa is Seoul’s newest high-end MICE hotel in one of the city’s best locations. It is small enough to feel exclusive but has too many MICE-related features to be considered just a boutique property. Forget any thoughts of this being a honeymooner’s retreat – this hotel breaks the mould compared to other properties within the brand.
Hotel features
There are 35 suites ranging in size from 50 to 100 sqm. The main highlight of each is the huge plunge pool in the lounge room. It is two metres by two metres and delivers an immediate ‘wow’ factor as soon as the front door is opened. There is also a steam room, two shower areas and bedroom. Floor-to-ceiling glass walls offer views over the city and nearby mountains.
The Crystal Ballroom at lobby level can seat 280 people for a banquet and has an outdoor garden terrace. There is a 14-seat boardroom on Level one, while Level three features two outdoor event spaces with capacity for 150 and 50 people respectively. Both are perfect for BBQs and cocktail parties with a view.
The Banyan Tree spa is excellent while the hotel’s private club with F&B facilities include private dining rooms and a large pool area.
Best way to use it?
This is the place in Seoul to put high-end incentive winners and board-level executives. Its small size makes it exclusive and its luxury delivers plenty of status. It is also just minutes away from Grand Hyatt and Shilla.
