COEX SEOUL
Coex in Seoul is Korea’s leading convention facility. It offers 18,400 sqm of convention space, with the largest being the 1,820 sqm pillarless grand ballroom. It can be divided into five sections.
The COEX Conference Centre includes 30 meeting rooms ranging in size from small boardrooms to seminar rooms, accommodating up to 300 people each. These rooms are made up of six large conference rooms and 24 medium- and small-sized rooms, which can be partitioned into 51 smaller conference rooms.
There is 36,000 sqm of exhibition space with the largest pillarless area being 10,400 sqm.
Coex Convention Centre will host the Group of Twenty (G-20) Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors summit in mid-November. Other major shows being held this year include the Korea Energy Show 2010, Food Week 2010, the 2010 International Association of Oral Pathologists and the Seventh World Stroke Congress.
Coex has just opened Room 300, its new conference room on the east side of the convention centre. It can hold up to 100 delegates and has a wall-sized window facing out to impressive views of downtown Seoul. Room 300 is ideal as a smaller summit room, or for VIP banquets. Coex now also offers free WiFi throughout the centre.
Nearby hotels to Coex include the two that are directly linked by walkways – Grand InterContinental (518 guestrooms) and Coex InterContinental (652), as well as Ritz-Carlton (375), JW Marriott (497) and Renaissance (475).

ICC JEJU
ICC Jeju will welcome 8,000 people from Amway Korea in October, who will arrive on the island in seven waves over the course of the month.
The scenic convention centre is built on the coastline and has seating for 4,500 delegates in its main conference space, as well as 2,400 sqm of exhibition space.
Hotels within a 10-minute radius include Lotte (500 guestrooms), Shilla (429) and Hyatt Regency (224), while the convention precinct is a 45-minute ride from the international airport.

BEXCO BUSAN
Busan Exhibition and Convention Center (Bexco) is in downtown Busan, 45 minutes from the airport.
It has two exhibition spaces of 8,800 sqm and two spaces of 4,400 sqm, with enough room for 1,800 exhibition booths. Its largest convention space holds 5,800 people with a further 22 conference rooms over levels one and two, the largest of which can hold 2,400 people.
Bexco recently hosted the 2010 18th Women in Nuclear Global gathering and last year it held the 2009 Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) World Forum.
Upcoming events include the 20th International Conference on Physical Organic Chemistry in August (1,000 delegates), EnTech 2010 in September (30,000) and the 8th International Diabetes Federation – Western Pacific Region Congress in October. In the same month, the 17th Busan ITS World Congress will attract 60,000 people to the city. Next year the city will host the 10th World Korean Tradespeople Meeting.
