Shangri-La will open three hotels in north China by 2013. The 320-room Shangri-La, Qinhuangdao will include a 1,200 sqm ballroom and a pavilion; Shangri-La Tianjin will offer 535 guestrooms; and the 370-room Shangri-La, Tangshan will be located in the Phoenix New Town development.
