SINGAPORE Marina Bay Sands officially opened last month and has already launched the first of a range of game-changing initiatives that promises to redefine the face of business events in Asia.
The resort, which officially opened on June 23, is launching six fine-dining restaurants under one roof that will be run by some of the world’s leading chefs. The line-up of chefs is Santi Santamaria of Spain, Daniel Boulud (France), Guy Savoy (France), Tetsuya Wakuda (Australia), Mario Batali (USA) and Wolfgang Puck (USA).
Globally, restaurants associated with the famous chefs have been awarded 15 Michelin stars and numerous other awards.
“Individually these celebrity chefs are all culinary stars in their own right. But collectively, these chefs – with their talent, repertoire and dedication – make up a dream team that is nearly impossible to surpass,” said Marina Bay Sands CEO and president Thomas Arasi. “They will bring the authenticity of their cuisine and pursuit of perfection to the table, and raise the bar for Singapore as a must-visit dining destination.”
Three restaurants are already open – Santi, Guy Savoy and Waku Ghin – with the rest to follow soon. As a bonus, one of Singapore’s most acclaimed chefs, Justin Quek, will run The Sky on 57, located in the Sands SkyPark on top of the building, which is also the property’s highest point.
