Thomas Schmelter has been appointed area general manager, Vietnam for IHG and will be based at InterContinental Asiana Saigon. Schmelter most recently oversaw the group’s operations in Malaysia.
Henry Lee has been appointed area vice-president, Greater China, for Marriott International. Lee will be supported by Philip Bryson, who has taken on the new role of area vice-president, North China.
Stephan Tschuppik has been appointed general manager of Hyatt Regency Jeju. Tschuppik has held senior roles with Hyatt in Seoul, Ho Chi Minh City and Taipei.

Vee Herrero has been appointed associate director of sales at Jupiters Hotel and Casino Gold Coast, Australia. Herrero arrives from the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre where she was national sales manager.
