KUALA LUMPUR Malaysia has recently announced several major event wins.

The International Federation of Surveyors (FIG) General Assembly & International Congress will be held at the KLCC Convention Centre (the Centre) in 2014. The congress is expected to attract 3,000 national and international participants from more than 100 countries for the eight-day event beginning on May 9, 2014.

The Centre will also host 1,500 delegates for the 23rd Regional Congress of the International Society of Blood Transfusion, Asia from November 4-8, 2013.

The East Malaysian province of Sarawak has also won several events recently including the 7th Triennial Meeting of the Commonwealth Dental Association in 2012 (2,000 delegates), and the Asia Pacific Orthodontic Conference for 2014, for which it hosted the national event in April.

Both events will be hosted at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (pictured).
