BANGKOK The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) has launched ‘Extra Night, Extra Smile’, a new initiative it hopes will attract international MICE travellers through its added value and help rebuild confidence in the local business events industry.

“In response to the political situation in Thailand, TCEB is working closely with relevant government agencies and private sector organisations in order to come up with effective counter measures to tackle the postponement of exhibitions and cancellation of MICE events during this tough time,” said Supawan Teerarat, director of the exhibitions department at TCEB.

“The launch of the Extra Night, Extra Smile schemes in international markets will be a strategic move for TCEB to revive Thailand’s exhibition sector, restore the country’s image as the globally preferred exhibitions destination and, most importantly, reassure MICE traveller numbers to pre-crisis levels.”

International exhibitors and visitors participating in trade fairs in Thailand can register online to earn special privileges and discounts, including a complimentary third night accommodation at participating hotels. The special offers are available until December.
