DARWIN Scott Lovett has been appointed director of business tourism at the Northern Territory Convention Bureau (NTCB).
Lovett was previously general manager of Alice Springs Convention Centre from 2005 until 2007 when he joined nationwide event agency, Staging Connections, as general manager for South Australia/Northern Territory. He moved across to oversee its operations in Western Australia in 2009.
“Scott’s broad background in the business tourism sector, his extensive network of local, national and international contacts and his strategic perspective will prove invaluable to the Territory industry,” said Angela Collard, executive director strategic services and business tourism for Tourism NT.
“We look forward to welcoming him back and to embarking upon a new era in the Territory’s ongoing development as one of Australia’s leading business tourism destinations.”
Lovett will replace Lynn Fairbrass this month.
