Day One
Arrival in Cape Town Transfer to the V&A Waterfront and take a luxury boat trip around the harbour. Sip champagne and watch the beautiful sunset over the ocean. Dinner at the Sea Palace Chinese restaurant.
Day Two
Morning Hop on your Harley-Davidson for a breath-taking ride around the Cape Peninsula, one of the world’s most spectacular sights. Pass along the Atlantic seaboard onto the wild and rocky promontory of the Cape of Good Hope, meeting point of the Indian and Atlantic Oceans, and then visit the African penguins at Boulders Beach in picturesque Simons Town, the perfect pit-stop. Lunch is then at Fish Galley restaurant in the coastal village of Fishhoek.
Afternoon Warmed by the African sun, Cape Town is dominated by the towering Table Mountain. Take a cable car to its peak then sip champagne and nibble oysters while enjoying the stunning cityscape by sunset.
Evening Live local music sets the tone for tonight’s welcome dinner at Marco’s African Place. Enjoy a true taste of African culture with indigenous Cape cuisine. The dance floor is sure to be packed by the enchanting sounds of the local musicians.
Day Three
Full day Depart early to enjoy wine tasting at Spier Estate. Lunch is then at Hassa Grill restaurant where the group can experience the taste of authentic South Africa game. Depart to Franschhoek and experience cheese and chocolate tasting, followed by Nigro Teahouse in Cape Town where you can choose your own tea from hundreds of varieties, local and imported worldwide. Dinner is at Tao Yuan restaurant.
Day Four
At leisure, a choice of activities on offer:
• Shark Cage Diving Relax in the comfort – and safety – of a 13m catamaran and photograph these surface feeders. Steel cage floats will allow the more adventurous to get even closer.
• Robben Island Today a World Heritage Site, the island is a poignant reminder of the price some paid for freedom. Visit the infamous cell where prisoner 46664, Nelson Mandela, was held captive and interact with an ex-political prisoner.
• Township Tour An insight into the cultures and communities of South Africa. Witness everyday life, interact with the locals and share their hopes and achievements Evening The diembe drumbeat announces the start of this evening’s festivities at Gold Restaurant. Join in the interactive drum circle and learn how it’s played. Soon you will be pounding the drumskins to the rhythms and sounds of Africa.
Soothe your hands in a traditional handwashing ceremony before moving into the ancient courtyards.
