TAIPEI Taiwan has been successful in attracting a number of large-scale events in the first half of 2010, including the third WiMax Forum Congress Asia held on April 13-14.
The forum and concurrent manufacturers exhibition, which has been held in Singapore for the past two years, attracted 2,500 participants. In March, Taipei hosted the 13th Asian Oceanian Congress of Radiology, which attracted 1,850 professionals from 29 countries.
A number of other medical-themed events took place in April and May, including the sixth Congress of the Asian Society for Pediatric Research and the second Asia-Oceanian Conference of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine.
Taiwan has also been selected as the venue for the fourth Asia-Pacific Congress of Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery in 2012 with over 1,000 guests from 23 countries expected to attend.
