SEOUL The Korean capital has won its bid to host the world's premier gathering of finance specialists in 2018.
The Annual Congress of the International Fiscal Association will bring more than 2,500 professionals from 100 countries.
Representing Seoul in the bidding process, the Korea International Fiscal Association conducted a campaign over the past four years with the full support of the Seoul Metropolitan Government.
Only twice before has the event been conducted in Asia, with previous host cities being New Delhi in 1997 and more recently, Kyoto in 2007.
This year Seoul has also won the right to host another 13 interntional conferences.
