Macau is well-known for its unique blend of cultures and there is no better way to introduce groups to this than through their respective cuisines.
This cooking experience takes delegates from market to table, whether an introduction to Portuguese food and wine, or a tailored menu for dim sum and Chinese tea.
The activity is divided into three 90- minute blocks – briefing and shopping, cooking and dining. Groups of up to 50 people are divided into teams of six to 10 people. The half-day programme begins with a briefing on the dishes and accompanying beverages to be prepared – usually a starter, main and dessert for the Portuguese option.
The group is then transferred to a local market for a unique shopping experience. Back at the hotel fully equipped cooking stations are assigned and a chef explains the recipes and gives some insider tips for success. Chefs and F&B staff are on-hand to assist groups where necessary.
Upon completing the dishes, a wine or tea expert explains the pairing of beverages with each dish. Groups can then enjoy their creations.
Recipes can be tailored to suit individual dietary requirements and are simple enough for delegates to recreate at home.
Cost US$115 per person (minimum 18 people)
