HONG KONG The first major exhibition period of the year has seen a boost in business confidence and key numbers. The fifth annual Hong Kong International Printing and Packaging Fair drew 260 exhibitors, an 8% year-on-year increase from 2009.
“We’re pleased that the Hong Kong International Printing and Packaging Fair continues to record increases in exhibitors at AsiaWorld-Expo,” said Benjamin Chau, deputy executive director of Hong Kong Trade Development Council. “We will also host another three annual shows at AsiaWorld-Expo in October and November.”
Also in April, the complete series of China Sourcing Fairs featured almost 6,000 exhibition booths and attracted 60,000 buyers from 142 countries. The Electronics and Components edition has grown 52% since its introduction in 2006 and is now the fourth-largest electronics fair in the world.
President of Global Sources Exhibitions, Tommy Wong, said: “It’s encouraging to see that our hard work over the years has enabled the fairs to grow from strength to strength. The line up has been expanded to include more new shows and new themes.”
