Brief: design a half-day activity for an international conference group that highlights Macau's diverse culture and history. Budget US$150 per person

When conferencing in Macau, you will leave feeling you have experienced a country, not just a hotel room and conference centre. One of the most popular activities is an Amazing Race-style activity around the territory’s heritage highlights.

In a set time period, all teams will visit ‘Challenge Stops’, answer ‘Cryptic Questions’, bring back ‘Quirky Keepsakes’ and take ‘Memorable Moments’ in order to gain points. There are more ways to gain points than time available so each team has to develop a strategy to plan the route they want to take as well as the tasks they want to complete.

After lunch, delegates will be separated into groups and goodie bags containing a map, score card, stationery, bandanas and the all-important first clue will be distributed. Teams will head to their first challenge stop, where upon completing the task, the ‘Challenge Stop Host’ will stamp their score card and pass on the next clue.

Racers will also be required to collect some souvenirs and take photographs including the whole team at various heritage landmarks.

The Off-site Connections team will announce each team and take a photo as they return to the finish point at the Ruins of St Paul. Once all teams are back, points will be tallied and the winner announced with an award ceremony followed by group photo.
