HONG KONG YACHTING
Take in the sights of Hong Kong on a Volvo 60 Class high-performance racing yacht. This particular vessel was designed for the Volvo Round the World Ocean Race in 1998.
The yacht is still in its original racing kit and guests can see how the sailors lived and the extreme measures undertaken to reduce weight and increase speed, like cutting the handles off toothbrushes.
Programmes range from two-hour twilight wine tastings on Victoria Harbour for 26 people (US$62 per person or US$1,290 for the yacht, including food and drinks) and half-day sailing trips to Sai Kung for 18 people (US$88, US$1,290), to overnight teambuilding challenges.
Companies such as DHL have branded the yacht for corporate events.

THE BOUNTY
As Hong Kong’s only tall European ship, The Bounty has become a favourite for visiting and local events. The Asia Patent Attorneys Association recently had the ship dock beside their gala dinner at D Deck in Discovery Bay.
The main sail was embroidered with the association’s logo and delegates boarded the ship to interact with the ‘pirates’ on board. Afternoon and evening sailings can be organised with catering for up to 60 guests.
Buffet dinners are US$50 per person, while two-hour beverage packages cost US$28. Teambuilding programmes are also on offer.
