SEOUL Korea’s capital city has been announced as host of the forthcoming T20 Tourism Ministers Meeting ahead of the G-20 summit in November.
The Group of 20 member nations selected Seoul as the host venue during the inaugural T20 meeting in Johannesburg, South Africa in February. Participation is restricted to G-20 members only.
The T20 Meeting was created in order to stimulate tourism so as to contribute to global economic development. The successful promotion has further boosted Seoul’s profile as a MICE venue.
“This sets the tone for the level of success the local industry hopes to maintain and build upon during ‘Visit Seoul Year 2010’, with the city planning to attract 300, 000 business visitors to its many events,” said a representative of Seoul Tourism Organization.
