MELBOURNE The 2010 instalment of Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo (AIME) beat last year’s figures with 513 hosted buyers from 33 countries in attendance.

“Last year, many companies were advising that events had been reduced or cut and there was a lot more ‘information gathering’,” said Sue Gaddes from exhibitor and sponsor Staging Connections. “This year everyone seemed to be reinstating events and there were several pieces that we have been asked to quote on.” 

Maria Teresa N. Igot, product development manager at Sunbee Tours and Travel, said: "We confirmed two pieces of business at AIME. One group will visit Vietnam in and the other Macau, both in 2010."

AIME 2011 will be held from February 14-15 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
