JEJU A new Korean event next month will help regional MICE planners learn more about hosting sustainable business events and also learn about the benefits of hosting international incentives in Jeju.
Jeju International Green MICE Week 2010 will be held on the subtropical Korean island from April 14 to 17. The event will highlight the region’s new markets and business opportunities based on low-carbon growth strategies.
Korean and international experts will discuss the future of the MICE industry as well as the definition and implications of Green MICE.
Young-So Park, president of Jeju Tourism Organization, said: “Green MICE Week 2010 will propose new models for a greener MICE industry and exchange of information among MICE participants. It will also promote Jeju as a designated Unesco-recognised natural heritage sanctuary that is good for environmentally sound events and incentives.”
The conference will be held at International Convention Center Jeju and more than 500 Korean and international participants are expected to attend.
