The brief
Fox Productions wanted to announce their new film project at a high-impact venue with first-class technical capabilities.

Challenges
Harbour Grand is located on a prominent curve of Hong Kong’s northern shoreline and the rooftop deck provides a panoramic view of both Hong Kong and Kowloon. Fox was the first group to use the newly opened hotel, which met the organisers’ brief for a prominent venue. The rooftop houses the largest LED screen in Hong Kong but all other equipment had to be moved onto the viewing deck.

In addition, it was a hot summer’s day and the temperature reached 36 degrees. Special fans were set up on the rooftop to give guests some relief.

Execution
The event was spread over two levels. A buffet was served from the Harbour Club Lounge on the 41st floor and a Bai Sun ceremony (roast suckling pig with incense) was held at the rooftop deck on the floor above. Organisers were happy with the venue. Several high-level executives from Fox and Star TV attended, as well as a number of high-profile guests.
