HONG KONG The International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), IMEX and Fast Future Research have announced a strategic study into the future of conventions.

Conventions 2020 will focus on major challenges the industry may face in the future. These include economic fluctuations, environmental issues, social attitudes, technological changes and political shifts. 

The study will develop insights into how the industry may evolve over the next decade, providing members with recommendations and strategies to best prepare for these challenges.

The initiative has so far received support from Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, Seoul Tourism Organization and the Best City Global Alliance (including Singapore, Dubai and Melbourne).
