Residential groups at Le Meridien Cyberport can select from the Jean-Georges Signature Breakfast, a special menu of healthy options created by the famous New York chef. Start with an Eye Opener shot of Mango Chilli Lime or Raspberry Pineapple Clove.

Breakfast options include Espresso steamed eggs with toasted brioche and smoked salmon with silken tofu. Coffee breaks incorporate Le Meridien’s five elements of salt, chocolate, vinegar, spice and sugar. Menu options include tuna fish and spicy seaweed sandwiches, breaded Hokkaido crab leg with balsamic reduction and cinnamon mini doughnuts with dark Hold the break in the hotel’s bean-bag-filled breakout room for a more relaxed atmosphere.

GREEN THEME
JW Marriott recently organised a ‘green and natural’ cocktail theme set on patches of grass from the island’s Happy Valley racecourse. Select from three special aperitivo menus from its Lounge restaurant. 

The Spanish menu includes olive oil tasting and tapas items including octopus, spicy sausage cooked in red wine, mussels with vinegar and pepper, and 17 wines by the bottle. Free-flow traditional hot chocolate and Spanish doughnuts also included. The French menu includes classics such as duck confit, crêpes, escargot and salads, as well as eight wine and eight cocktail choices. Italian antipasti favourites include bruschetta, olives, cold cuts and grilled marinated vegetables. Drink options include Italian wine, beer and unlimited coffee.

Sheraton is offering delegates a taste of traditional Hong Kong life with live cooking stations serving Guangdong wonton noodle soup and fresh prawn dumplings in superior soup. The Chinese BBQ counter offers roast pork, five-spiced beef and Peking duck from its Cantonese restaurant, Celestial Court. Or the hotel’s Indian chefs can prepare an Indian counter with chapati, papadums and curries served with raita and mint sauce. 

Kowloon Shangri-La has updated its EnvironMeet programme, a full-day meeting package for US$97 per person. The menu comprises healthy snacks and beverages made from organic produce. A power stretching session is included and groups have the option of a ‘green’ excursion at the end of the day.

QUALITY OPTIONS
 Coffee break selections at The Mira include 11 dessert options from the hotel’s master pastry chef Thomas Lui, known for his creations for the lobby patisserie. Options include ivory chocolate crème brulee and passion caramel tart, as well as savoury options. Set lunch menus include five four-course Western menus and six nine-course Chinese menus.

The hotel can also tailor menus. A cosmetic company recently requested a black-and-white menu for a skin-whitening product launch.

The catering team designed a menu featuring steamed scallops topped with sesame and peppers, caviar on white chocolate leaves and foie gras with Japanese turnip and blackberry.

POOL TERRACE
After your meeting, book the pool terrace for a special dinner at Hong Kong Hyatt Regency Sha Tin. The BBQ dinner buffet includes seafood, roasted beef salad with spring onion and sweet chilli sauce, and smoked chicken avocado and grapefruit salad. On the barbecue is spring chicken, rib-eye steak, lamb chops, pork ribs, squid, seabass, king prawns and sausages. Menus start at US$62 per person for food and US$14 for beverages. The minimum charge is US$7,700 with discounts for inhouse groups.

SMART BREAKS
Eaton Hotel is offering Smart Break menus ase part of its new full-day meeting package. The Chinese classics menu includes pan-fried assorted peppers with black bean sauce and baked egg tarts, the pan-Asian favourites include Thai chicken in pandanus leaf and sesame-crusted prawns, the American selection includes Tex Mex quesadillas and New York cheesecake, or try the sweet options including green tea crème brulee.

Healthy menu includes vegetable crudites with hummus and muesli bread sandwiches with vegetable fillings. Lunch includes choice of four western set lunch menus. Meeting package is US$58 per person.
