INTERACTIVE INCENTIVES
Sarawak’s World Heritage-listed Mulu National Park features spectacular limestone cave systems that provide a unique backdrop for gala dinners. Groups can enjoy head hunter-themed dinners in traditional longhouses.

Many longhouses are involved in CSR programmes that allow delegates to interact with the community through activities like rice-paddy planting or construction. Sabah is home to colourful tropical reefs and its islands and beaches are popular event locations. Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre is located near the central city of Sandakan, a 40-minute flight away.

INTERNATIONAL HOTELS
Kota Kinabalu is the capital of Sabah and offers a mix of business and resort hotels. Hyatt Regency Kinabalu, with 288 rooms, is located in the city centre, 15 minutes from the international airport. Its ballroom has a separate street-level entrance and seats 400 for banquets. There is also a large meeting room and three breakout rooms on the second floor.

The nearby Shangri-La Tanjung Aru recently renovated its guestrooms and features a top-level Chi spa on its own private island. Further from the city, Shangri-La Rasa Ria includes a nature reserve, Orangutan education centre and 18-hole championship golf course over 160 hectares. Its grand ballroom seats 630 delegates for banquets.

Sutera Harbour is a luxury golf resort with two hotels, a marina, a 1000-seat pillarless ballroom and a 27-hole championship course.

Sarawak’s capital of Kuching is less developed but offers a new Four Points by Sheraton, with 421 guestrooms, five minutes from the international airport. Meeting facilities are located across one floor and its ballroom can host conferences for up to 2,400 people. The function rooms overlook the mountain scenery of the
