Shenzhen has two international new hotels in the pipeline. Grand Hyatt Shenzhen will open first at the end of November. Situated in the heart of Luohu District between the 32nd and 38th floors of a highrise building, the 491-room property will feature 53 suites and 48 serviced apartments. Its 2,700 sqm of meeting and event space includes a 1,000 sqm pillarless ballroom.
The hotel is minutes away from the Hong Kong border, five minutes’ drive to Shenzhen Stock Exchange, 10 minutes to Futian district, 15 minutes from Shenzhen Exhibition Centre and 40 minutes from the International Airport.
The 350-room Westin Shenzhen will open by the end of the year, across the road from Crowne Plaza Shenzhen and InterContinental. It is just five minutes away from the Shenzhen Bay border, 10 minutes from the high-technology zone of Nanshan and 15 minutes from the Futian District. The Westin’s largest meeting space is 500 sqm with a further nine breakout rooms also available.
The hotel is part of a shopping complex that also offers a movie theatre and skating rink, as well as a metro station and bus links so groups can easily explore the nearby theme parks, golf course and other local Shenzhen attractions. The hotel will offer a residential meeting package of US$188 for accommodation, breakfast and meeting.
