Jump on board an abra (water taxi) and witness a piece of timeless Dubai at the gold and spice souks (markets), before seeing a slice of modern life at the 935-seat Sezzam restaurant at Kempinski Mall in the Emirates Hotel, next to the indoor ski slope.

After lunch, skiers and snowboarders can take to the slopes. Transfer back to the hotel, then dinner at Buddha Bar restaurant, Grosvenor House. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY THREE
Zip into action by donning Formula 1 attire at Dubai’s outdoor kart-racing centre in Dubai Autodrome, fully equipped with computerised lap-timers, trackside cameras and a huge video wall. Continue the sporting theme by trying skeet shooting at Jebel Ali Shooting Club, followed by a clubhouse lunch.

No tour to Dubai is complete without shopping, so we’ll take you to the Egyptian-themed upmarket Wafi Mall and recently expanded BurJuman Centre, as well as bargain-conscious Karama market. Dinner is at the Aquarium Restaurant at the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club, an oasis in the heart of the city. Overnight at the hotel.

Take a Palm Island tour on a luxury catamaran and enjoy breathtaking views of the Dubai skyline and Burj Al Arab, then head for an afternoon desert safari which will culminate in a sunset champagne stop and falconry demonstration. Round off the day with a drive to the camp for the 1001 Arabian Nights dinner, where you can enjoy a traditional Bedouin feast on low, rectangular tables. Transfer back to the hotel. Depart the next morning.
