Coetzer Deysel has been appointed general manager of W Koh Samui Retreat. Deysel was most recently resort manager of W Retreat Spa – Maldives.
Bertrand Courtois has been appointed general manager of Sofitel Wanda Chengdu. Courtois was previously general manager of Sofitel Wanda Harbin, where he will be replaced by Fredrik Grenberg.
Kamal Naamani has been appointed general manager of Fairmont Peace Hotel, Shanghai. Naamani was most recently general manager of Fairmont Dubai.
Mark Losi has been appointed general manager of Pan Pacific Orchard, Singapore. Losi has 25 years’ industry experience at hotels in Brisbane, Sydney, Ipoh and, most recently, Penang.
Rainer Burkle has been appointed general manager of Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong. Burkle has spent the past two years across town at Portman Ritz-Carlton, Shanghai, where he will be replaced by Manfred Weber.
